newsite

Ladies and Gentleman, the time has come, once again for the Geekly Update to move onwards and upwards. In true Darwinian fashion, the site which has become your daily digest of delectable digitary has evolved once again.

From today, the Geekly Update will no longer operate from the address in your browser above but will instead be found at:

www.geeklyupdate.com

There will be many changes being made to the new site in the coming weeks as I experiment with styles and additional content. I might therefore take this opportunity to apologise in advance for any service outages.

For now, it has been a pleasure serving you from this WordPress-hosted blog, I hope to be able to continue to tickle your furtive fancies for many a day to come. Head over to the new site and make sure to change your bookmarks accordingly.

intel-inside-idiot-outside

This week had been ordinary in every sense of the word. Nothing of much relevance had disrupted my day-to-day being. Thatwas, until today. Video of the Week: Damien Walter Showreel

October 20, 2009 Geekly Update 2 comments

I saw Damien in a show he had choreographed last year in Derby in which my fiancee’s cousin was performing. Watch the video and you’ll understand how good the show was. Unfortunately I cannot take credit for finding this video, this was in fact more shameless material poaching from the wonderful 2ne.co.uk.

Damien has, according to all sources worked as a stunt man in numerous films including a Jackie Chan movie. This guy is seriously talented. My personal favourite is the back flip from sitting on the floor – amazing.

Its a fun, hands-on look at your own sense of sight, revealing how evolution has tinted your perception of reality. It is truly brilliant.
